DRM

Definition:

DRM stands for Digital Rights Management and is a term used to describe restrictions placed on digital media such as music and movies. The intent of the restrictions is to prevent copying or otherwise illegal distribution of the digital media. Apple initially sold all of the music in its iTunes library with DRM but have recently relaxed that restriction and now sells a subset of their catalog DRM-free.

Zune

A Zune is a small, portable music player made by Microsoft. A Zune plays digital music purchased through Microsoft's "Zune Marketplace" as well as music ripped from compact discs (CDs). There are several different flavors of Zunes; some allow you to watch video such as movies and television shows. In order to transfer digital music and video to a Zune, it must be connected to a computer running Windows XP or Windows Vista that has the Zune Software installed.
