DIMM

Definition:

DIMM stands for dual inline memory module and refers to a series of DRAM modules mounted to a circuit board. DIMMs are commonly used in computers and are considered more efficient than their SIMMs predecessor mainly due to the lack of a requirement to pair two DIMMs together. If you can remember nothing else, just remember that DIMMs are the new style of memory for computers.

Here's a word you may not know...

progressive scan

Progessive scan is a method for "painting" a video signal by displaying video lines sequentially (progressively) from top to bottom. This is in contrast to the alternating odd/even method used with an interlaced signal. Progressive scan signals are considered superior to interlaces signals due to their scalability for high definition displays and the absence of quirks sometimes associated with interlaced signals.
