DVD

DVD stands for Digital Video Disc and is a popular medium for movies. Movies on a DVD are stored digitally. Playing a DVD requires a DVD player or other device, such as a computer, with a DVD drive. DVDs can hold 6-7 times the amount of information as their same-sized counterpart, the CD.

Certain types of writeable DVDs can be used by computers to store data.
