What is a noobie?

Noobies are people who know only a little about technology in general or who want to learn more about a specific technology. Noobies may find the constant onslaught of new technology products overwhelming and need help making the right purchasing decisions. Noobies don't have the time, or perhaps the patience, to decipher complicated manuals and may want someone else to give them the facts about how to make technology work for them.

Noobie also is a term commonly used on the Internet to describe new or inexperienced technology users. More experienced/knowledgeable people who suspect a “noobie” in their midst may use the term in a more negative way, expecting everyone to have their same level of expertise.

Despite the sometimes negative use of the term, we find it quite endearing and welcome noobies to openly ask questions, build their knowledge and skill, and grow their confidence with Noobie, Inc.
