Scheduling Made Easy with Tungle.me
Meeting organizers can avoid common headaches like double bookings, time zone mishaps, multiple emails, and missed phone calls by using a free, easy-to-use online service called Tungle.me. Invitees also will appreciate how they can use Tungle.me to maintain a personal calendar while communicating seamlessly with a variety of other calendars. Clients and co-workers will be glad they can view your free and busy times while you keep your personal details...personal.
Getting Started
Getting started is simple. Browse to Tungle.me and click the “Sign-Up for Free” button to begin. Enter your name, email and password or login with select social networking and online calendar accounts. To confirm your preferred email address and password, Tungle.me will send you a confirmation email. Once you respond, the account is live.
To begin your customization, choose a custom Tungle.me URL. This will be the easiest way to share access to your calendar. Your public profile can be populated by Facebook or other similar sites or you can start from scratch by providing a job title, company name, personal notes, profile picture, phone number, email address, website URL and social profile data.
Set up a meeting
Schedule a meeting by visiting your personal Tungle.me page and click “Schedule a Meeting.” Enter as many meeting details as you’d like, such as subject, duration, location and description. To send details to attendees, use their email addresses and/or make them part of your Tungle.me account list. On the same screen, Tungle.me’s scheduling tool will help you propose meeting dates and times by selecting chunks of available time in your calendar.

Send your email invitation, including all the usual details and your availability, through Tungle.me, or send your own invitation that references the custom URL page. Invitees will view your availability and choose their preferred meeting times so that you or Tungle.me can confirm the best date and time for your appointment.
Invitees do not need a Tungle.me account to interact with your meeting invitation; they can simply download the .ics file directly to their own Apple iCal, Outlook, Google Calendar and others. The meeting, all its details and any impending updates will get automatically added to your calendar and theirs.
Much More Than a Calendar
Once you start using Tungle.me you’ll also begin to appreciate its wide variety of synchronization and integration features. Tungle.me will synch with social networking and event planning sites such as Facebook Events, TripIt, and PlanCast, ensuring that all your event information is in one place instead of scattered in various emails and websites.
Tungle.me will automatically synch with Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Entourage for Mac and Lotus Notes, so you can consolidate your duplicate calendars. Plus, use it on the go with free downloadable iPhone or Blackberry applications and a soon-to-be-released Android application.
How Do They Make Money?
Tungle.me is a freemium service. They say that what is offered now for free will always be free. Additional premium, paid offerings may be added in the future.
Good to know
For those concerned with privacy, Tungle.me says they will never sell your information to anyone else, and all sensitive data, login information and data is secure.
