Samsung Galaxy Stellar has a decent set of features at an unbeatable price [REVIEW]

Samsung Galaxy StellarI think I finally found the perfect smartphone for people who don’t want (or need) a giant display. It’s the Samsung Galaxy Stellar.

Right off the bat, I noticed that the Galaxy Stellar has the same look and feel interface of its big brother smartphone, the Galaxy S III. Of course it doesn’t have all of the features of the Galaxy S III but that’s kind of the point with this phone.

For example, the Galaxy S III runs off a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor while the Galaxy Stellar runs off a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. The Galaxy S III has an 8 megapixel rear camera that can shoot 1080p full HD video. The Galaxy stellar’s rear camera is only 3.2 megapixels and shoots VGA-quality (i.e., not high definition) video.

So rather than review the Galaxy Stellar, feature by feature, let me just say this. If you’re looking for a good quality Android 4G LTE smartphone with a decent amount of features that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, look no further than the Galaxy Stellar.

And if that doesn’t convince you, maybe the price will. The Galaxy S III is right around $250 with a new 2-year contract. The Galaxy Stellar is free with a new 2-year contract.

Note: The Samsung Galaxy Stellar in this review was provided to me by Verizon Wireless and can be purchased at your local Verizon Wireless store or at www.verizonwireless.com.

Great job, Patric, keeping it simple. After reading your review, I know exactly what to expect with the Galaxy Stellar. The low price is very attractive, but being a video guy, I would have to have the 1080p HD video available in the Galaxy S III. Thanks for another helpful review!

  2. I’ve wanted a smartphone for years and finally got one. It’s the Stellar and I am very happy with it.
In fact, hubby and daughter both also got the same phones. We are having a blast with them :)

J.R. – The 1080p is important to me as well but I suspect the majority of people who buy this phone will never know the difference.

    Marsha, great to hear!
